There is a great deal of difference between delighted, kind concentration and rigorous, hard one!

Pay attention to what kind of concentration you use in practice.

When you are really paying attention – excitement from sense doors disappears completely. Yet if you start paying attention to how you don't like certain sounds – aversion just grows SO much stronger.

Finding balance between trying too hard and practicing relaxation is key.

How to maintain clarity and vigor yet still be relaxed?

How do we deal with speech aspect when reciting prayers and mantras? Do we let them be on autopilot or do we pay attention to both the object and the speech? What about the felt sense of metta?
